Thanks Yuliya Nemova!
It was one of those beautiful autumn days. Bright blue sky bringing out the vibrant gradients of green in the trees, golden sunshine and the first chilly morning portending more to come. I took a deep breath of fresh air, finished my coffee and headed upstairs to get ready for work.
I turned the shower on and stepped in,
wet my hair and reached for my Terressentials Lavender Garden Hair
Wash. For some reason the bottle felt different in my hand...I wiped
the water from my eyes and looked at the bottle. It was different.
Hey! This isn't my Hair Wash! I looked around. Where is my
Terressentials Left Coast Lemon Body Wash?
Irritated and dripping, I stepped from
the shower and went to the cupboard, glancing at the clock on the
way. It glaringly read 8:30! I opened the cupboard door, it was
filled with other body care products. Terror filled my heart!
I heard the clock ticking...TIC TOC, TIC TOC. Well, I had to get to
work, maybe I could just use the bottle already in my shower, after
all it did say “organic “ on the label. I headed back to the
shower, already blaming my husband in my head for moving my stuff
from the shower.
So, this stuff's organic huh? I poured
the thick sweet smelling shampoo into the palm of my hand. Then a
little voice inside my head (sounding vaguely like my boss Diana)
said, check the ingredients Christy. (TIC TOC,TIC TOC, time was
flying by, I was going to be late!) I read the label..ammonium lauryl
sulfate, cetearyl alcohol, hydrated palm glyceride. What? This isn't
organic! In fact it's down right unhealthy! TIC TOC,TIC TOC. Ugh!
Maybe I can use that body wash for my hair after all I use
Terressentials Body Wash for a shampoo sometimes. I read those
ingredients. Nooo! More of the same propyls,-ides,and -enes. What was
happening?
I ran to the cabinet, please, please
let my Flower Therapy Replenishing Cream be there. Gone! As well as
my Terressentials Fragrance-free Body Lotion and my Passionate
Lavender Anointing Body Oil. They were all replaced by imposters,
laden with plastics and polymers; -enes, -oses, propyls, and -ides. I
closed my eyes and let out a blood curdling scream.
When I opened my eyes my husband was
shaking me, the dogs were frantically barking and the covers were in
a pile in the middle of the bed. My husband said “you were having a
bad dream.” I pushed passed him and into the bathroom, leaving him
looking at me like I was a lunatic. I opened the shower door and a
light shone from above. All my Terressentials products were right
there where I had left them the day before. I rushed to the cabinet.
Ah, my Flower Therapy Replenishing Cream, my Fragrance-free Body
Lotion and my Anointing Oils. All here safe and sound.
My husband stepped into the bathroom
and asked if I was OK? Yes, yes, I'm fabuloso! It was just a
nightmare, a true horror story. To think I might actually have to use
once again products that were so harmful to me and the environment
sends a chill down my spine. Instead, it's a beautiful autumn day.
Life is good, as good as Terressential Organics!
