Our Eangee lamps, handmade by a small, fair trade company in the Philippines, defy the laws of nature with their brilliantly colored plant fiber lamp shades, the most popular of which being Eangee's famous leaf-patterned shades. That's right – Eangee lampshades are made from real leaves and other natural materials, making them eco-friendly and mind-boggling! To make these incredible leaf lamp shades, the leaves are carefully selected and undergo a process called “fossilization” in order to preserve them. They are then dyed and hand sewn into intricate patterns. The results are stunning, high-quality, earth-friendly, eclectic fixtures that liven up any room! Ask us to see our Eangee catalog for the complete collection of awe-inspiring designs these artisans offer.

Our Belfast Bay Shades are made in the United States by Dina Petrillo, her husband, Ryan Herz, and several other artisans in their lovely studio in Belfast, Maine. The artists create high-relief plates engraved with designs inspired by the surrounding flora. The plates are then carefully painted and pressed onto linen using an etching press.  Finally, the the artists shape the hand-printed fabric into various cylindrical lampshades. The final product is a breathtaking work of fine art that creates a warm ambiance when illuminated in the evening, and that can be enjoyed throughout the day as a bewitching painting!
